Erase-sure.

It's so easy to say "live each day as if it's your last, because tomorrow isn't promised" , but how many of us are truly living each day as if it's our last?

Today has been a day full of contemplation and self observation. The older I get the more I realize that I am not exactly the person that I thought I was. It's funny because I once looked at myself as this girl who didn't get emotionally attached quick, who could easily erase memories , and who could act nonchalant about any situation-always thinking I wouldn't let things get the best of me. All of these qualities aren't completely non-existent, but they're not as strong as I thought they were. After break ups and such I tend to erase pictures and other traces that remind me of that person, not because they're painful memories, but because I feel that it gives me a sense of empowerment to tear that page out of my life. Ok, at this point you're probably thinking I'm crazy. I may be, depending on your definition.  If you scroll down to one of my old blog posts you will notice that I have photos from my lasts relationship. It crossed my mind to delete it, but a friend said to me " good memories should always be remembered, right?". I replied, you're right. At that moment I realized that I was being very childish. In many situations trashing visual memories will not erase the ones that are embedded in your mind. The most important ones will always have a secured position within your mind, and in many cases those are the ones that shape you into the person you are today.
It's amazing how certain situations are important at the time, but after they're over, you realize how things were never really as important as you perceived them to be. This is one of my topmost peeves in life; sense of regret, and deception. But I've found that I've learned the most from regret. What can I say? My life is great. It feels good to understand myself... to a certain extent. ::smile::

Just some thoughts...
  • Today I had an interview. I hope I get the gig.
  • Tomorrow/ Later today I have a meeting about internships. It should be interesting, furthermore beneficial.
  • Krystall & I hung out in some secret getaway locations today. We enjoyed it.
  • I bought my brother a vintage Vogue magazine today. I think he'll like it.
  • I love people who are extremely detailed when sharing information about their life. I.e. (I just ate sugar babies, I use vanilla toothpaste, I love A&E network). Reader you're confused, it's ok.
  • I love laidback, cool, artsy people. I need someone who gets me.
  • I was judged by church-goers tonight. Thou shall not judge, therefore I'll name you church-goer. That's nice, right?
Whatever I'm Brittney. My glasses are not prescription, I love moccasins, bright nail polish and weird hairstyles, wearing hoods and some other confidential fun things.

Until Next Time
